Join us as we continue our journey through the Old Testament in Part 2 of our Old Testament Bible Study! This time, we’ll explore the second half of the Old Testament from 1 Samuel to Malachi tracing God’s story through the eras of the kingdom, exile, and return.
Rather than studying each book in isolation, we’ll walk through in chronological order. Along the way, we’ll connect the lives of key people and historical events with the different types of writings found in this portion of Scripture. We’ll learn how historical books, Hebrew literature (such as Psalms and Proverbs), and the prophets fit together discovering their purpose, background, and message within God’s unfolding plan.
Whether you joined Part 1 or are jumping in for the first time, this study will help you see the bigger picture of the Old Testament and grow in a deeper understanding of God’s faithfulness through every season of His people’s history, as every story ultimately points us to the promised Savior and the hope of God’s kingdom.
